Mike,
The door panels are held on by plastic "push pins" (for lack of a better
description). They slide into slots in the door panel and then push into
holes in the door where little ridges on the pin hold it in (think fish
hook and you'll get the idea). From my experience, they're very hard to
get out if the panel has never been removed. Once they are removed, the
ridges get bent and don't hold as well. I took one of my pins down to an
auto parts store and bought new ones so the panel would hold tight. If I
remember correctly, the replacement pins were relatively cheap.

Any tips for removing door panels? I need to remove my front
drivers to track down a mysterious squeak. I tried to get it off
this past weekend, but had to stop when I couldn't get the top
part right at the window bottom off. I can't remember how it
hooks on there. Some kind of metal clip that pops in some slotted
holes? I didn't want to break anything.
