See my post about measuring the bar before you install new bushings
(www.v8sho.com) God only knows how buried in there it sit. The bar will rot
and rust worse where it can retain water

This one is scary.  I had the usual thumping noises, from those crappy ES
bushings, each time I went over a bump.  Periodically, I would crawl
underneath and shake the rear asb and I could see that the bushings were
slightly loose around the bar.  But, the brackets were still mounted to the
body!!
