[Shotimes] question #4 of 4 - suspension

If it was flushed prior to storage, I don't see what the issue would be. One
of the purposes of coolant is to resolve issues with dissimilar metals.
FWIW, I would think that there's a greater issue with coolant going through
hot/cold cycles for 18 months than it is just sitting. Remember that
everything on the engine side of the radiator cap is sealed and should have
no air in it, so theoretically nothing will happen.
There are probably SHOs running around that haven't had the coolant flushed
for 5-10 (or more) years, and I have not heard of any coolant-related SHO
issues.
IMHO, other than the battery running down, and possibly the gas going bad
(and dry-rot tires after a really LONG storage), I don't believe that any
other items on a well-maintained car should have any more issues after 18
months than they would have after sitting for two weeks.
After having stored the Fiero GT for a year, it had a slight coolant leak in
the hoses that connect the front radiator to the (mid) engine, and the RR
caliper leaked slightly when we had to move it on/off the moving van. It's
now been stored for 4+ years. It will be interesting to see what transpires
when I fire it up next year. I also have stored motorcycles over the winter
for years, and I usually put the 911 up for 6 months, although this year it
was for 9.5 months. Everything was fine on it when I brought it to life over
Labor Day.

Ron,
I see your point about the oil since it's just sitting in the pan, but the
coolant has been touching Aluminum and Iron for 18 months. That's a bad
thing, no?
