White deposits are usually caused by combustion chamber temps getting too
high. Cause is usually low octane fuel, improper timing, cooling problems,
leaking head gasket or air/fuel mixture too lean.

Noticing any engine knock or loss of power?

A sticking IAB would cause off idle drivability issues, but not necessarily
a lean condition.
