I'd actually prefer a stronger caliper as well such as something made
by Brembo or a top of the line AP Racing setup. The Wilwoods flex an
awful lot.
At home I have an interesting thread bookmarked from an RX7 forum that
discussed wilwoods vs brembos (Porsche/Brembo Calipers) and other
caliper makes. More than one person noted the wilwoods' tendency to
flex which contributes to a pulsating brake pedal feel and some
shudder. It can also lead to uneven pad/rotor wear as the caliper moves
so much.
It's visible to me even just by bleeding the brakes and having someone
step on the pedal. It looks a little scary. My friend's Maxima with the
Billet superlites does the same thing.
