[Shotimes] I'm too stupid to use TRW strut rod bushings

well, I was taking the rear strut(tension) rod out of
my car this morning, and I decided that as trashed as
the bushings were, I would replace them.  I ended up
getting the TRW bushings, as they were available in
town.  

Two points of discussion:

I didn't like the fact that the hole in the middle of
the bushing is bigger than the rod.  

While the trw page at shotimes shows washers, none
came with the bushings.  On the frame side, the
bushings are too long to start the nut with the stock
washers.

Anyone have any opinions on this?
