Yeah, personally for summer-only I would get the ES100s over the 450s. In
the north country, the 450s are decent a/s tires, though. Still don't
understand what motivated me to get them on the 911 three years ago, but
they do have quite well on the lighter (2,700#) car with proper rim sizing
(205/55/16 on 16X6 front, 225/50/16 on 16x8 rear).
The ES100s did great at Blackhawk, they feel great on the road, and I hear
that they do well at the dragstrip......I'll find out once I get a clutch
that doesn't smoke before the tires do!! ;-)

The ES100's are WAY better (on the SHO anyway) than the Nitto 450's. I have
the 450's on my 89 (use them as street tires, to and from the track). they
are real smooth, easy to balance, and wear like they are made out of iron.
I got a lot of miles on mine and they still look new. they don't have a lot
of grip though.
don't have any wear experience with the ES100's yet (still pretty new) but
the grip is way more than the 450's, and the yoko's are smooth and quiet.
