The NT-450s were great tires about 5-6 years ago. Now they have been superseded by other things. I've heard great things about the ES100s from SHO and BMW folks. Only comlaint I've heard is on a roughly paved Autocross surface they will chunk. The tread "blocks" aren't very wide, so I can see where that might happen. But for street/light track use, they seem to be great.

The ES100's are WAY better (on the SHO anyway) than the Nitto 450's. I have
the 450's on my 89 (use them as street tires, to and from the track). they
are real smooth, easy to balance, and wear like they are made out of iron.
I got a lot of miles on mine and they still look new. they don't have a lot
of grip though.
don't have any wear experience with the ES100's yet (still pretty new) but
the grip is way more than the 450's, and the yoko's are smooth and quiet.
