[Shotimes] 235x45x17 tires

ES100s.

The ES100s are the new-technology silica-based compound that is not supposed
to heat-cycle and get hard as they get worn down. The Sumis and 712s have
been around forever. Kumho has newer tires than the 712 (like the MX) that
are better.

Only problem is the MX only comes in a 225/50 size, so you have to tell them
that it's for a car that came with them. I got my Tire Rack order turned
down for that reason.

So, to change the subject (a little) in 225/55-16 size the Kumho712s are $75
each, the Yoko ES100s are $87 each, the Sumitomo HTR Z are $79 each.

Any votes for which way to go?  I need to replace the very worn out Dunlop
SP8000's on my slicers.
