[Shotimes] Leaving for College

Modern radials don't really "flat spot" any more. I leave the 911 n the
ground for it's annual 6-month lay-up (9 months this year) and it doesn't
matter.

I do have the Fiero GT on wood blocks, though, and it has been sitting for
4+ years now.

Kent,

Go to shotimes.com - storing your SHO
	http://makeashorterlink.com/?S54616BE5

Also, go to Don Mallinson's excellent website:
	http://www.dccarcare.com/tipowk/tipowk15.html

If you follow the suggestions from the above mentioned websites - you have
alot of work to do, but it doesn't sound like you have the time. As
recommended by the list members, the minimum you should do is change the oil
and coolant, and top off the tank. If you're going to leave the insurance
on it, have someone "drive" it once in a while instead of just starting it
and letting it idle for 10 mins. If you're not going to have anyone drive
it, remove the battery and have someone roll the car back and forth once in
a while so you don't flat-spot the tires. I knew mine would be stored for a
long time so I took the insurance off it, and therefore couldn't drive it so
I never even started it for 18 months.

I still haven't started it but I'm getting close. I'm supposed to be going
back to Dallas in a week and half so I really hope to start it before then.
