[Shotimes] '96 brake upgrade

My personal opinion is that Ford under-designed the braking system in the
SHO. This is manifested by all the warped rotors on 89 to 93 SHOs. To
further justify this point, Ford belatedly upgraded the brakes in the 94
MY. So that's one argument. The true answer to the 96 upgrade is simply
a matter of increasing the stopping power of this big car. You can use
this as a safety argument if you like.
Now, if you want to perform an intermediate upgrade much more cheaply,
then go to AZ and buy new rotors and Performance Friction Carbon Metallic
pads. This setup improves stopping power slightly and will virtually cure
the rotor warping problem at the expense of having more brake dust coat
your wheels. You might be able to do this all for about $100.
I have experience with both of the above setups.
