Yep, and it WAS part of the police package, so thus not
misnamed. :)
We had lots of taurus police cars in city and county use in
the midwest. Although there are few taxi's in our area, so
I never saw one of those, doesn't mean they don't exist.
I would put good money that there are almost NO "heavy Duty
Cooling" Tauri out there, but a LOT of POlice and taxi versions.
IT is named correctly. I don't remember any definitive
discussion ever that said the "police" grill is misnamed.
Yes, the outer boundry layer may be pushed somewhat over the
hood, but all those bugs that die in the grill and front of
the bumper don't ride in on nothing other than inertia
(which is part of it yes) but there is plenty of air that
hits the grill at speed. Yes it helps with flow with the
fan at low speed too.
