[Shotimes] I'm going Crazy!!!

Hello again everyone,
 
I'm going to blow that damn piece of sh** up!  Today I tried using some
of that muffler tape on my exhaust to patch up a hole.  I run the engine
to warm up the tape and all seemed to go fine.  Then suddenly the engine
began to idle very erratically.  Every since then the RPM's jump all
over the place and it seems to want to idle at about 400-500 RPM.  Then
when you accelerate the engine seems to hesitate.  It just doesn't want
to get up and go.  It also sounds like a Harley.  I was planning on
taking it in for an emissions test this week but with it running like
this, forget it.  Please does anyone have any ideas of what the hell is
going on, and what I can do to fix it.  
 
Also it's a little off subject but,  I was looking at buying a Y-pipe
and Cat-back system,  WLK-17400

SummitRacing, for my 91+ and was wondering, it says that the kit is for
1992-1995.  Would this also work on my 91.  Same for the Y-pipe.  Thanks
