Sorry for the OT, but I'm a little ticked and I don't really know where
to turn. I have a 2 year old Dell Inspiron 8100 and today the backlight
on the screen decided to die. Has anyone had to pay for a repair like
this before? I've been searching for LCDs on the internet, but they
don't always include the back light and a new LCD is $$$. Anyone send
their laptops somewhere that has good prices and can give a quote for
the work? I've already got it apart, and I'm using the chassis hooked
up to my 17" monitor, not the best situation, but it works. Please
reply off list to keep the OT down, though with the way the list has
been recently, there's not a lot going on anyway.
