[Shotimes] I'm thinking about selling the SHO.

I really believe this to be the best for both the SHO and myself. I have
owned the car for over a year and a half. It has mostly been used as a
daily driver since then. The only exception to that was a run from South
Carolina to Missouri to Texas in August of last year. While I would
absolutely love to keep this car and start/finish fixing it up, the
reality is I have no money to do it. I'm getting deployed in January to
Iraq so the car would just sit in my driveway for a year anyways.

The odometer reads 82k right now. Whether or not it's actual I can't
say. The exterior condition is fair with rust in five spots. There is a
spot in the black stripe on each door, and another on the rear D/S
fender. The rear D/S door and fender were hit at one point in the car's
life and has never been repaired. There is a dent in the trunk and a
reversed dent in the hood (likely from being closed with something in
the way). The front P/S corner has some damage to the fiberglass as well
as a few scratches in the paint. Overall with some minor body work and a
paint job it would look great.

The interior is fair to good. The back seat is in excellent condition.
The front passenger seat has normal wear and tear with no tears. The
driver seat has a three inch tear in the seat and the left bolster looks
like a dog chewed on it. The carpet looks pretty nice with a few mars
from cigarettes. The spots look like the person got the cigarette picked
up before it actually burned the carpet, but still melted the carpet.
The dash and doors look very nice when they are cleaned up. I just did a
thorough cleaning last weekend and the interior actually surprised me
with how well it cleaned up.

The drive-train is the problem with this SHO. The engine is in dire need
of a 60k service. It has just developed a stalling/power surge effect
recently which I'm chalking up to spark plug wires and plugs. I haven't
noticed oil in the plug wells, but the seals have been moist the last
two times I have looked at them. The valve lash is annoying as the sound
tends to drive me nuts after the SHO gets warmed up really good. The
clutch holds fine for now but if I had the money and time and money
again, I would go ahead and replace it. The transmission is absolutely
fine.

The suspension and brakes need looked at as well. Again if I had the
money I would redo the entire suspension system. Bushings, end links,
struts, springs, and anything else I could buy for it. While it still
handles like it's on rails the thing is very noisy. The brakes need done
period. Tires would also need to be put on the SHO as well. With the
struts and springs in the rear being shot, the tires have toed badly.

I have installed reinforced motor mounts from Performance Plus. From the
Sho Shop, I installed their y-pipe with cats and subframe bushings. I
replaced the EATC with one from a '94. I also added a strut tower brace
and a K&N panel filter.

I can't let the car go until Christmas time (horrible time of the year
to try and sell a car huh?). I'm asking $2000, but that, of course, is
negotiable. Any questions or picture requests can be directed to
