Dear SHOTimers:
Recently got back from a 9,900 mile vacation in the SHO. South Carolina to
Washington State, down the West Coast to San Diego, home thru Las Vegas, and
Oklahoma City. Had the distinct pleasure of meeting our very own Crazy
George when the radiator started leaking in Coos Bay Oregon. I nursed it to
Petaluma, and then drove about an hour to George's house. Amazingly enough,
they MAKE radiators about 10 minutes from his house in Fairfield, CA.
Took us about 3 hours to get it in. We also took the time to visit the
Lowrider , and while I was visiting is when George discovered the vandalism
to the Plus From Hell.
George and his wife are lovely people who took LOTS of time helping me out.
If for no other reason than the opportunity to meet them, , you should
consider attending the West Coast Convention.
The SHO averaged about 25 MPG, and I paid as litttle as $1.60 to as much as
$2.50(Calif) per gallon.
The car is now for sale : it's (gulp) green, gray leather, sunroof, JBL,
110k miles. Just before we left I replaced all the water hoses, put on new
Yokohama Avid H4's, and had the tranny fluid/filter changed. Has the 21/26
combo, 96 brake upgrade, SFC. Original springs, 2 year old Monroe SensiTrak
struts. The 100K has NOT been done. Located in the Upstate of South
Carolina, near Greenville. No wrecks, no rust. Need to get $2500.
Also have a D4U1 PCM.....$50
And a Ted B LPM for the above....$150......neither one ever installed
shipping extra
