Subject: Leather Seat (GEN 1/2 UPDATES) and Katzskin vs Leatherseats
Ok folks.. doing some more research.... unfortuantly, GEN 1 owners, you
probably can't buy this kit unless you buy gen 2 seats from a yard.... i'm
sure you can get them CHEAP and get confused looks when you ask for beat up
ones... :)
I aslo contacted the other company... the Katskinz company or however you
spell it.... my biggest problem is that there is no one to talk to, they don't
have as big of a selection either.... I"m big on customer service, and I like
how I can call Leeatherseats.com and talk to them... not just e-mail. I'm
still waiting on Katskinz reply on pricing, embriodery, quality and the Gen1
seat questions.
Personally, i'm leaning on leatherseats.com, they're more straight
forward, they cut through the BS, and I have personally seen their product
installed. If ford played their cards right, Katskinz probably got sued as
well.... so i'm not banking on the embroidery.. although if Katskins has a
satasfaction guarantee and CAN embroider the SHO logo (just like it is on the
bumper) that would be on the table for recondsideration.... my 99 windstar has
SEL on the seats... and I think SHO on my seats would look awesome!
We'll keep yall updated...
