[Shotimes] The Bullet I Dodged Almost Got Me From Behind.....or....Man, Am I Gonna Get Yelled At!

I've had pretty good luck with Firestone and Bridgestone tires of varies
makes.....have never had a set of BFG's.
I hate Goodyears more than I do the Michelines...they really suck.

The best tires I ever ran on my '94 came from Pep Boys...they were the Futura
GTX....got about 32k on them, I also had a decent set of Avia
somethings..don't remember what they were...seems like I got close to 30k on
them.

But, I don't drive my car like an 80 year old on Sunday.....I run it like I'm
at the track every time I get in it.

Maybe that's why some people have more mechanical trouble (tranny's,
suspension) than others do, they baby their SHO 95% of the time, then give it
hell occasionally, there is no conditioning for that, my car is conditioned to
run hard because that's how I run it, it actually runs like crap if I try to
take it easy.

This is pretty interesting. I've had Michelin Tires on a truck brand new
truck and brand new tires all 4 balder then hell in 12,000 miles. I had a set
of Pilot's on another car 4 tires balder then hell in about 15,000 miles.
Maybe this a regional thing. I'm in Michigan Rick is in Tenn. George got good
mileage out of them in Cal. I've got a good friend in AZ and he can't get more
then 12k out of a set of BFG's and I use BFG's pretty much on everything I
own. and get good tire wear. I'll have to let you know how the Comp TA Touring
HR4's I put on the 90 do. As for Firestones and Goodyears they can stick those
right up.. well you get the idea.

The '99 is currently running on a set of Micheline Pilot XGT Z4's...this
is
what was on it when I bought it, they looked brand new (didn't find a
receipt though)....that was 13k ago and I'm gonna need a new set of
something pretty soon, might push it to 18 or 20k, but I doubt they will
    make it.

The '93 I had was also running a Micheline Pilot, but I can't remember
the
exact spec....the guy I sold it to is going to have to put tires on it
soon,
that set might have 15k on them.

I can't remember what the other Micheline was I had, they were on
something
I bought, right now I can't even remember what it was. I just remember
hating the tires....I think they were on a Taxicab I had a few years
ago....
