POR-15 won't hold color when exposed to UV.
My local Benjamin Moore paint store sells an industrial grade alkyd enamel
(IIRC) for about $10 a quart that can be color-matched to whatever. I've
used it on a number of items, including valve covers, and it holds up quite
nicely. No metallics or high gloss, but good for solid color semi-gloss
applications. I've used both an HVLP sprayer and a cheap compressed
air-in-a-can sprayer and gotten good results with it.
