[Shotimes] Gen I GEN II Alternators

Total wattage the amps put out is irreverent.  What you need to know is the
total amps consumed by the amps.  IMHO caps don't help and are a band-aid
for poor wiring and substandard batteries.  I have not ever seen an
alternator put out it's rated amperage.

What I would do in your case is make sure the wiring in my car, from
alternator to fuse box to amp is at least #4 or preferably #2 wire.  And get
an Odyssey battery or one similar (not a spiral cell type).
