This is something you absolutely should not do.
Snowwind does the identical same thing from time to time with the CEL and he decided that he didn't want to lock/unlock the front two doors.......
The hissing sound is in the intake:  have you de-carboned lately, ?????/  I know I haven't and the sound and the heat goes hand in hand with the carbon.
How does he do on the emissions?
 
Please keep driving him and you will let him work his problems through.  I know your driving style changed but his didn't./   It will now.....

Just drive him like you used to and get to know him all over again......he is still there, the devotion didn't go anywhere.
