Here is the full deal of what happened. I was bringing the kids down to my parents for the weekend, Driving the 90 with the clutch about to fail. Then it was back to my place to put it on the hoist. Well the car god's were not kind to me Friday I smoked it about 10 miles from their house. My truck is in the shop from the deer accident. Thought I had the 9.25 clutch I was wrong.Put a plea out the list for any clutch I could get so I could get it out of their garage. Ron offered me up a used disc and TOB, But my NAPA guy scored me a kevlar lined 9.75 Zoom for under 350.00 on a Saturday of a holiday weekend. Damn good guy. Laying of my back in dad's garage not real fun trans out in 4 hours. Rear main Oil Pan gasket axle seals etc back in under an hour. Trans going back in.Hit a huge problem Ron set along his cell phone number and just happens to be about 12 miles from my Parents house. I give him a call looking for idea's why I can't get his damn thing back in. 2 hours wrestling with
it. He tosses out a few idea's and starts looking up phone numbers and gives me Kirk's. I call Kirk he tosses out a few more idea's and I can hear him talking to two other people about the possible problem. Something so stupid I overlooked. Disc was off center. Trans back out. disc in right. Trans back in 4 hours. Smoking the BFG'S 20 minutes after I tightened the last bolt and filled it full.
I'm sure I would have come to the same conclusion given time and patientce which I had NONE of at that point.
Without Ron I would be still putting this damn clutch and trans in on Easter Sunday. When the Lapeer Dragway thing comes up in May. Drinks are on me Ron.

I didn't mean to slam Porter. He's helped me with alot
of problems. I was just saying that I've sat back (I'm
sure alot of other people have, too) and watched him
unload on some people. Some of them posts were
downright funny. I was just wondering why he up and
stopped posting here.
Same thing with Kirk from Bahston. I know some people
don't like him much either, but he's always seemed
like decent people to me...
