According to my friend who just got home from Iraq a few months ago, this is
real.....these things are very dangerous, says you can actually hear them
scurry across the sand, the guys (troops) scatter when they hear that sound
and they all break out the flashlights trying to figure out where it
is....he
also said if you kill one it emits a pheremone that other spiders can follow
to the location in an attempt to "help" the troubled one.

Just one more reason to thank these guys for all they do for "US".

camel spider which was hiding in his sleeping bag. I thought you'd like
to see what a camel spider looks like. It'll give you a better idea of
