[Shotimes] Smoking engine

Dang if that wasn't the most mysterious problem on my SHO... The
easiest way to spot it other that the smell was to pull into the
driveway with the headlights reflecting off the garage door and as
sure as anything you would see that smoke pouring out of the right
front of the car. Open the hood and not a clue where it was coming
from. Smell as you described it.

So the bad news is I never found out what it was, and worse yet,
this was happening with my 3.0L motor just before the rod bearings
gave up the ghost. After I got my 3.2L upgrade, it never happened
again. I had mentioned this specific problem to DonD as well but by
the time he had done all the work, the problem was gone.

Here is the only other thought I have on the subject. There is a
black cylindrical tank (suction accumulator/drier) for the AC in the
right front corner of the car. My original one was pretty ugly wirh
rust and there were some fittings that had rusted too. Don had to
replace that particular item, and I wonder now if that possibly
could have been involved.
