The one I replaced was a single-wire sensor that threads into the thermostat housing.

I replaced it with a Stant 13979, seen here:

The old one I took out looked exactly the same.

I did replace the DIS module. The plastic thing on the pass. side of the intake with 2 electrical connectors. (Yes, I cleaned the surfaces and applied fresh heatsink compound.)

I did clean it a little. I guess I should re-clean it thoroughly since it still had a lot of carbon. I also applied 12v to the connector and verified visually that it is opening and closing.
