Ok, well, since I've had my ass handed to me, I might as well apologize. I
too had just come home from a long day and was feeling especially bitter
about pretty much everything. I do retract my statement that Tauruses are
shitboxes; I actually do feel that they're one of the finest cars ford
(recently) made. My 94 is actually in pretty damn good shape considering the
miles it has on it, but not a day goes by when I can't list at least three
things that need fixing on it. I suppose it's a good thing; it keeps me
occupied, but it also keeps my check occupied too. I don't make that much
money, and I don't think I really realized how much money it takes to keep
one of these beasts running.
I apologize to George and anybody else that may have taken personal offense
to what I said. I guess the only thing I can really say is - I didn't mean
it. It kind of hurt that I got called an outsider even after 8 admittedly
short months here, but I suppose I had it coming. I suppose I should be
somewhat honored in a slightly macabre way that my name did make it into the
subject lines, though...
Even after all I've been through with the first 94 that had no title that I
had to deal with, and all the trials and tribulations (tribbles!) I've been
through with Annabelle, would I buy another kind of car in the future? No.
I'd just buy another SHO, because I can't think of another car (save the M5,
which I will never be able to afford) that so gracefully combines pedestrian
person hauler with snarly sports car that regularly eats ricers and
mustangs.
All in all, no matter what s**t I might blow out my ass, I love my SHO, and
would never have anything else. Even if my car is slowly turning into the
U.S.S. Rustoleum because of this stupid virginia seashore weather.
George, if I ever meet you at a convention, I'll buy *you* that beer
instead. Once again, I'd like to apologize.
Jason
