There is a new version of the IAB that came out in '96. Look on SHOtimes for
the part #.

Subject: [Shotimes] Still stalling - Cleaned IAB

I followed the directions on the FAQ for cleaning the IAB. Got it off with
no
problems, but I did note that the ISC would not come off the IAB. It is
'crimped' onto the IAB. There was some fouling and I emptied a can of carb
and choke cleaner into the IAB, got lots of stuff out. I couldn't move the
piston though.

The car started and it was idling for about 5 minutes (yah! :) There a
new
'rushing' noise and then she stalled. Couldn't get her to idle after that.
Took a hard drive up and down the local highway. Still wouldn't idle.
Disconnected the ISC, still wouldn't idle.

Any thoughts out there? I'm concerned 'cause my IAB/ISC combo won't come
apart like described in the FAQ and pictured in my Chiltons.

Bruce Malachuk I'll trade you for a house call.
