Being young does help. It's a lot harder when you hit thirty. Worse when
you're forty and damn difficult when you're 50 plus. But, the truth of the
matter is that you have the key. Activity (I prefer to use that instead of
exercise because exercise is such a dirty word) is the key. Sure, everyone
needs to cut down on sugars and carbs and fried foods (let me tell you,
there's nothing more lethal to a diet than fries and hamburgers), but being
young helps.
Hang in there though, because you mentioned the key. Any good diet depends
on exercise. If you don't do it, your weight loss is temporary. I'm an
expert at that theory. Eat all the sausage, meat and cheese you want and
lose weight, but the minute you go back to normal, and without some
exercise, you will return to your former self...
