AFter AMC and the Pacer were already a known dead duck, the 
company was going under, I went to the local AMC store. 
They had a pacer that I was mildly interested In (remember, 
I am the one that wanted a Checker muscle car when in high 
school!, I tend to want to adopt odd ducks anyway).
I asked what they wanted for it and they said sticker price.
I coughed then laughed and said: the car AND the company are 
now lame ducks.  that sticker was not even close to 
reasonable.  I left.
That entire store closed within a year, and with that 
attitude, why not!
