You have a radio and a bunch of other crap, your adding stuff to the car
like its going out of style. Don't cut yourself on a battery its not like
your making a light weight racer.. the differencee in weight is what 20lbs?
That equals to .002 in the quarter mile.. or you can sit in traffic with all
your ac/ radios gear and everything else wondering what happens when you
stall the car..

You also have UDPS if I remember correctly.. for dragging a lightweight car
all the time sure other wise your splitting hairs.

Now what about if the car is only gonna be a late spring/summer/early fall
car? Can I get away with a lighter smaller battery?

Get the PC 1200 if you are looking for a normal size and power replacement,
PC
925 for a 26 lbs battery that is good for all but sever winter starting.

www.batteries4everything.com is the cheapest place I found to get them.

I know these have been discussed here a number of times, but I can't find
all the discusions thru the archives. My 94's original battery has finally
given up. It's begun to leak out the seam at the top and dosen't hold a
charge longer than 3-4 days if I don't drive the car. Being that it is
spring, and car maintence and upgrade season, I wanted to replace my
battery. I had made up my mind along time ago to go with an Odyssey or
Hawker battery for weight reasons, but I now need to know which one I should
order. I have been kicking around moving the battery to the trunk, and would
like to do that, so the smallest one possible for starting and running
therunning the car properly wouldn't be a bad idea. Conversely is there one
that would fit the MTX battery tray properly even if it weighed more than
the lighest/smallest able to get the job done?

I've been using this place as a point of reference cause the prices seem
pretty good. http://www.batteryweb.com/odyssey.cfm If anyone knows of a
better place to order an Odyssey or Hawker battery from please let me know.
I am getting sick of running around with a mis-sized Napa battery held in
with a bungee cord.
