I do not understand the flow of money.  It drains away from the Great Plains
states towards the oceans, I guess.  How else to explain that this
Wisconsinner can't afford the California convention, a Californian can spend
$8K on a $25K car, and New York can spend $15M/yr on A-Rod.

Assuming that was for a complete rebuild, not just rod brgs, it could have
been worse. The PO of my '91 put close to $8k into a SHOShop 3.2l engine,
including R&R.
