[Shotimes] Oct 22 Gingerman Track event! MI, then go to Lapier.

Bob Gervais (TCCA) and I are trying again to put together a 
track day for you track dogs out there.

Right now we can get a FRIDAY date on Oct 22nd at Gingerman. 
  fun safe track located at South Haven, MI just off I-196, 
about 60 miles from the illinois/Indiana/Michigan border.

If we get 20 cars we can do our own private track day for 
about $155 per car.  If we get 30 cars, it can be $105.  I 
could toss in a BBQ lunch for that also.

THIRTY CAR LIMIT!

We would then be able to make a fairly easy 3 hour drive to 
Ron Porter's area on the north side of Detroit and meet up 
with the Lapier drag group for the friday night get together 
before Saturday drag racing at Lapier.  (Note: Lapier 
expenses/drag strip are NOT included in the price of the 
Gingerman event!)

In order to do this, we MUST have firm commitments from at 
least 15-20 people soon, and full payment in advance before 
the end of this month, August, 2004.

We will have a novice class along with one or two classes 
for experienced drivers.

Any car is welcome, I am sure a few of my SVT friends from 
the Peoria area may come, and we may have a Porsche or even 
a Ferrari!

Let's put this one together, spread the word, get back to me 
  if you can make it.  Plaase let me know ASAP so I can 
gauge if this event can be a GO.  If you are only 10-20% 
sure, don't reply until you are 90% sure please.

I you want to go ahead and send a check for $155 now, to 
secure a spot, we can refund the proper amount if we get 
over 20 cars.  If the event falls through, I will send your 
check back.  Need to know by the end of August!

your check won't be cashed till Sept 1st at the earliest, so 
if you  want to date it for that day, that would be fine.

If you need to pay by credit card, there will be a $10 extra 
fee for the credit card charges.

To summarize:

Event: Track Lapping/driver education day, Typical SHO Club 
track rules apply.  18 or older to drive. 16 or older to 
ride. Everyone must have a Helmet, SA95 Snell or better. 
Instructors will not be provided, but help for novice 
drivers will be available on a limited basis.

DATE: Oct 22nd, Friday, 8am to 4pm

Location: Gingerman Raceway, Southaven MI.

Cost: $155 per driver maximum, $less if we get more than 20 
drivers.  Send check for $155 per driver and we will refund 
appropriate amount if we get more than 20 drivers. (30 max 
allowed)

$71 plus taxes, just mention Gingerman Raceway when making

Gingerman site).
