There are a few catches in doing this though.  You need to have an  
aftermarket deck that is equipped with an infared eye (remote control).   The mass 
majority of the adapters use an adapter that aims at the 'eye' on the  deck, 
making the deck think that your simply using the remote control.  I  sell a piece 
at the shop that you can do it, but its around 60 bucks or  so.  It is a very 
tempermental piece, as are all of them.  In the  taurus' its hard to find a 
good spot to mount the eye so it is in a good  transmitting view of the radio.  
Most of the time I talk people out of them  cuz they are more trouble than they 
are worth.
