[Shotimes] Knock sensor location?

SPOUT1 is right under the EEC test connector. It is gray in color and
rectangular with two rounded edges. This is the one you want to pull out
for the Emissions Test. There will just barely enough wire on it to pull it
up by the EEC connector and remove the gray jumper plug but you can do it
without getting burned. This will retard the timing 10 degrees.
SPOUT2 is under the coil pack and looks just like SPOUT1. It is supposed to
retard the timing 3 degrees in the even of crappy gasoline. I wouldn't
worry about removing it for the test since I have been told that SPOUT1
overrides SPOUT2 and just retards the timing 10 degrees if you pull them
both.

BTW I have found both of them on my '95 MTX and both '93 MTX's. I can't
y'all with ATX's, my wife won't let me own one!

Well, my KOER tests do indeed report a problem with the knock sensor.
However, I have yet to get a KOER to complete without the engine
stalling shortly before giving me the goose flash. I assumed the
code just showed up because of the stalling problem...maybe it's
legit after all.

I'll look some more for the SPOUT connector and the "octane shorting
bar" too. I have yet to find either one.
