[Shotimes] Anyone that can weld in NJ

As Mike mentioned in his post, we fixed it relatively easily. Except for
the one drop of molten steel that fell off and land on my chest. It burned
thru a down vest, sweatshirt, t-shirt, long johns and finally into me.
OUCH!

I TIG welded it, but would have far preferred a MIG welder for this job. To
make the repair you must remove the strut arm and both bushings. Then the
cup will likely fall off the frame too. Take your time to thoroughly clean
and sand the area. Then just weld the cup back onto the sub-frame. Once
cooled off, paint the area and reinstall the strut arm and bushings.

Moog's Service Link Bulletin # SL8-96 details the repair. I have this
bulletin in pdf format in case anyone would like a copy.

Did you do this yourself or have it done someplace? What kind of welder did
you/they use? I did find a guy at minekey that said he could do it but he
only had a mig welder (i think) and recommened a stick welder. Did you
remove the strut rod and both the front and rear bushing? Thanks for any
info.
Kevin
