If I understand this correctly, there is no "nut" as you would expect, but
the base around the mast has notches in it, this part is actually the nut,
you can use a screw driver in the slot and tap it counterclockwise to loosen
it.......
I think this is right......if not, I'm sure we will find out very soon.
