That was the engine known as the "Blue Crescent" engine...."semi-hemi".  I had one
in my '69 Country Squire, with a 2 BBL.  It got 20 mpg all day long.  Pretty darn
good for a 5K pound car going 75.

....the 2 BBL might not have had the "BC" heads, but it still needed premium
fuel....
