I just read in the newspaper that Volvo has started to use proprietary
diagnostic software that costs big bucks to buy and update each year,
effectively shutting out independent repair shops that work on multiple
brands. If one can only go to the dealer for repairs, what do you suppose
will happen to repair costs?  Ugh!
