[Shotimes] SHO a Sales Success?

Maybe I'm shooting myself for adding my opinion here,
but oh well. I think the MAIN reason the SHO never was
a "success" ( I think it started the whole "sports
family sedan" in the US and in Japan, but whatever) is
that Ford made too many compromises with the car. They
never put the effort into designing an ATX that would
compliment the engine. The MTX/clutch prolly could've
used some help, too. If they just would've listened to
the dealers/customers, I think the SHO would still be
around. Look at the Maxima, for example. Nissan is
constantly changing it to be a little more
competitive. It has been around forever, has several
different engine/tranny options, and Nissan has showed
no signs of taking away the performance model. The
tranny issues aren't the only things Ford could've
done, but they did too little too late and decided
just to mothball the car.
Like I said, just my two cents...
