Micrometer (was RE: calipers was RE: [Shotimes] tie rods and rotors)

How can you measure the thickness with calipers?

You have to get over the unworn outer edge.

I use a micrometer...

Just to add to that, harborfreight and local hardware/tool stores like
SEARS, home depot, lowes, etc sell them but I can't vouch for quality.
