[Shotimes] snow: 215/60 or 215/55?

Remember that 215/60-16 tires on slicers rub the fenders when using
Wilwood rotors. 215/55s may fit better. I suppose that the shorter
sidewall would feel better on dry roads. I have no idea or opinion one
way or another about winter treads.

Subject: [Shotimes] snow: 215/60 or 215/55?
I am getting ready to order snow tires-early x-mas
present for myself that I'll try to get someone else
to pay for...har har har..anyway
215/60/16 would be the obvious choice for snow but NJ
gets an odd mix of snow, slush, ice, hard packed snow,
plowed roads, etc. We don't get 20 feet of snow like
upstate NY but we get enough to make it dangerous.
For the times that the roads are plowed and somewhat
dry, I'm wondering if 215/55 may handle a little
better at speed. I have to admit that I like the look
a bit more as well...
comments, opinions?
thanks
Ian
