[Shotimes] '96 brakes spare tire?

It's been talked about. Might even be a reference to it on www.shotimes.com.
It's one of those "old news" items to most of us so it never gets discussed.
If you want to keep your spare you'll just have to do an additional
"swap" if you get a front tire flat. Put the spare on the back, move
the back wheel to the front, put the flat front in the trunk. Pain in
the butt, but how often do you get flats?
I think there are cars with 16" spares with the proper lug pattern,
but can't remember what they are. Maybe a Lincoln or two?
