[Shotimes] SHO Chassis Part colors Resto Info

SHOs came from the factory with the front suspension,
and subframe coated with a waxy cosmoline product as
rustproofing.  I was told they dipped the chassis in
this stuff on the assembly line.  It is not black
paint although it looks that way after years of being
exposed to the elements.  The reason this product was
chosen was because when fresh it has a self healing
property when chipped where paint doesn't.  Most new
cars are using a similar product.  I have been unable
to find a source of this product at the consumer level
for touchup on my car.  Does anyone know the name of
the product or a source?
