Carl, I couldn't agree more. However, since it appears that NY 
is suffering from some seriously bad PR, (see Ron Porters' missive)
I thought I'd upgrade the tone of the discourse a bit and not drop 
to the level of the cretins.

I thought this was funny actually having grown up and spent most of my
life there.  I also thought Bob's response was very how should I say this,
graduate school worded.  A good Bronx cheer might have been more
appropriate.
