Bob,
Don't judge the convention by what happens on the internet.
Ron and I have had some pretty good on-line arguments, but
we set that aside and have fun at the conventions. Actually,
for 99.9% of the year we set it aside. :)
The main reason I took on the club was to keep the
conventions alive. We have people from 16 to 80+ that all
have a great time. Men-Women, road racers and drag racers.
Some with Ricer leanings and some that like pure stockers.
It's all good when you get face to face.
Honestly if you let something like this keep you away from a
fun event, you are losing out on something good. I really
don't think a SHO enthusiast can fully understand what it is
all about till they go to a convention.
A fight about regional accents is not worth the effort. As
a midwesterner and former radio announcer, I like to think I
am from the "non" accent area, but to someone from the South
or East etc we sound funny too.
