This is such a terminally cool project, although a (preferably  
driver-adjustable) wastegate would indeed be a desirable addition if  this is to be a 
street campaigner and wants to still be running on Sunday  morning.
 
Please allow me a small chuckle, certainly not at Tyler's expense but  purely 
at my own, since as a tyke I used to crawl around my mom's feet while she  
pumped the treadle on a certain old-fashioned contraption  -- and watching the 
belts, con-rods and gears do their thang was a big  part of what got me 
fascinated with the workings of machinery from a yootful  age!  
 
Therefore I must allow that it would be perfectly natural for  Singer to 
sponsor what could very well be the world's  first retro-style-sewing-machine 
nine-second Top Modified SHO rat  racer  ;-)
