Michael:  "I ended up designing a wrench with a pair of long metal  wires 
attached at each end. I then dropped the tool into the subframe through  big hole 
next to the AC accumulator.
Once the tool was in there, there are  enough other holes to move it around 
and fit it over the nut. Then once you  start turning the bolt, the nut piece 
will stay put."
 
 
And then when the bolt is nice and tight, you spot weld the wrench to the  
subframe and you're good to go; actually strengthens it a little  <G>
