Also make sure that you place a load on the engine via the accessories
while it's idling.  According to popular belief, you typically want to do
this within the first 30 seconds of idle.  Flip on MAX A/C or defrost, work
the power steering and flip on your headlights to load down the engine.
Doing this should help speed up the "relearning" process.

Resetting the computer is just a matter of turning everything off and
letting the computer learn the idle for a couple of minutes the first time
you start it. The idle will hang around 2K and slowly come down to normal.
After that, you should be good to go.
