[Shotimes] Brakes won't go off (at least until the battery dies)

Guys,

Trying to clear it up.

The rear brakes (stop) lights are on including the center light.  Removing
the plug from the brake pedal switch has no effect.  Removing the Brake
Light fuse (or any of the other fuses) below the dash also has no effect.
Somehow the brakes are getting voltage even with the fuse removed.  All
other systems seem to be working fine.  Again just the rear brake lights are
on.

I think he means the lights at the back of the car, not the dash
indicator light.  I don't have any idea why they would still be on.
Just wanted to try to clarify.
