They let you go as fast as you want....until they see you....

In most areas if you keep it around 7-9 over you should be
ok.....FWIW...tickets up to 9mph over the posted limit in TN do not appear
on your record if you pay the fine and do not show up for court, unless this
has changed recently....
beware Nashville has a new Police Chief, and he is on the warpath for
speeders, we have quite a bit of construction around here too, definitely
watch your speed in a construction zone, they aren't very forgiving.
